Snoop Lion produces new 'One Life to Live' theme song

Snoop Lion, the artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg, has produced the new theme song for the rebooted soap “One Life To Live.”

Prospect Park’s The Online Network revealed on Friday that Snoop, who has appeared on “OLTL” before, when it aired on ABC, had signed on to write and produce the new theme song.

The track is called, “Brand New Start,” and features Iza Lach, who is on Snoop’s Berhane Sound System Label. Snoop also performs on the track.

Beyond his musical contributions, the rapper/actor will appear in new episodes of the soap, playing himself.

His storyline will see him visit Llanview, Penn., to promote the documentary, “Reincarnated,” which chronicles how he went from Dogg to Lion.

He has already begun shooting scenes with returning characters Bo Buchanan (Robert S. Woods), Nora Buchanan (Hilary B. Smith) and Dani Manning (Kelley Missal).

Iza Lach also hit the show’s new Stamford, Conn., set to shoot the video for the song earlier this week.

“One Life To Live” returns weekdays, beginning April 29 for free on Hulu. Fans who don’t already have a Hulu account can create one on the site, and “subscribe” to the show, putting new episodes in their viewing queue as they become available.

The show will also be available on Hulu Plus, a monthly subscription service, or through paid download on iTunes.
