Christopher Walken, is that you? The Oscar-winning, cowbell-fever-suffering actor is almost unrecognizable behind the black curls, giant eyebrows and elaborate pirate costume of Captain Hook in this new image from NBC's "Peter Pan Live!" tweeted out by producer Neil Meron.
With his sword and hook hand, Walken looks like a formidable opponent for Allison Williams' Peter Pan, who's armed only with a small dagger.

The live show is based on the 1954 Broadway musical, which featured Mary Martin as Peter Pan and British actor Cyril Ritchard as Captain Hook.
"(Walken is) fearless as a comedic actor and we guarantee he will bring his own take to Captain Hook," NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt said in July when the casting was announced.
Walken himself downplayed his abilities, at least musically. “I’m not a good singer,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “The songs are done almost like patter. Think Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady.”

This will be NBC's second live musical, following the success of 2013's "Sound of Music Live!" which starred country star Carrie Underwood as Maria von Trapp.
"Peter Pan Live!" airs Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
