There's no proof any future Beatle actually walked on this floorboard, but Paul McCartney and John Lennon were at least nearby, once.

Beatles fans, get out your checkbooks: A floorboard from the church where Paul McCartney and John Lennon originally met has popped up on eBay.

The floorboard, which at last check was going for nearly $800, comes with a certificate of authenticity stating it was from Liverpool's St. Peter's Church, where the two future songwriters were introduced by a friend in 1957. Just a few weeks later, Lennon asked McCartney to join the Quarrymen, and eventually the two formed the Beatles with George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

Congregation member Donna Jackson is behind the auction, according to the Examiner; she says the 22 cm by 7 cm by 3 cm wooden block was from a side room that had been damaged in a 2001 fire. Another block was also auctioned in August, and sold for around $400.

Those proceeds went to the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts; all proceeds from this new sale go to the church.

Perfect for fixing a hole where the rain gets in, right?
