The comedian and talk-show host revealed in February that she had gastric sleeve surgery in 2013, and weighed 230 pounds at the time of the operation. She said doctors recommended she go down to 150 pounds.

"I did what many woman do, and I did not take care of myself," O'Donnell, 52, said when she discussed her operation during an event for the American Heart Association. "And that's why I'm here, to try to get women to know you're worth it, take care of yourself and know the symptoms."

O'Donnell will rejoin the other 10 women who have served as hosts of "The View" on May 15, as they honor retiring "View" founder and legendary journalist Barbara Walters.

Another comedian, Roseanne Barr, recently showed off her own major weight loss at an event in California.
