Seems like this is a good week for the the young ladies from MTV's docuseries "Teen Mom" to admit they may not be the best of mothers.

According to Radar Online, Amber Portwood appeared in court in Indiana Wednesday for a child protective custody hearing. The website reports that Portwood finally admitted to the judge that she has been an "unfit mom" to her daughter, Leah. Dad is ex-fiance Gary Shirley, who had temporary custody of the little girl.

Portwood was charged with three felonies in December for allegedly beating Shirley in front of their daughter. The incident was aired during a season two episode of "Teen Mom." She is currently out on bail and faces three years in jail and a $10,000 fine if convicted.

In an earlier court appearance, Portwood denied hitting her ex in front of Leah, but "withdrew her previous denials" at the latest hearing, according to Radar.

This latest confession is probably news to fans of the popular series, though viewers likely deduced her shortcomings as a parent long ago. In several episodes, little Leah was seen wandering around with little to no supervision, the home she lived in appeared to be a mess, and the little girl sometimes lacked clean sheets and clothing.

The other "Teen Mom" to 'fess up to not being the best mother possible was Jenelle Evans. On Tuesday's episode of "Teen Mom 2," Jenelle signed over custody of her baby boy, Jace, to her mother.  "When (my mom) kicked me out, I realized I can't take care of Jace on my own yet because I can't even support myself," the young mother explained.
