Ever since Demi Lovato dropped out of the Jonas Brothers World Tour to check in to treatment for "emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time," according to her publicist, there's been plenty of speculation about what those issues might be. Us Weekly is reporting that the catalyst for her downward spiral is simple heartbreak. When Lovato began the tour, she was dating Joe Jonas; the two broke up and Jonas began dating "Twilight" star Ashley Greene. Greene tagged along on tour for a time, which "drove Demi totally crazy," reports Us. "At one of the shows, Demi got in Ashley's face and went nuts." Lovato's stepbrother William De La Garza told the magazine, "She wasn't having an easy time." Sources close to Lovato say that her family is serious about getting her help for her issues, which reportedly include anxiety over image and body, too. "They're not putting a Band-Aid on the situation and sending her back on tour," one source told Us. Related:Was Demi Lovato being pushed too hard?
