Italy got an A-list infusion of amore on Friday when George Clooney and fiancée Amal Alamuddin arrived in Venice for their star-studded wedding celebration reportedly set for Saturday.
While reps for the couple haven’t confirmed complete details of the impending nuptials, Kelly Cobiella of NBC News reports that the pair likely will exchange vows at Aman Canal Grande, a 16th-century waterfront palazzo where lodgings start at $1,700 a night.
Celebrity guests such as Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber — said to be Clooney's best man — also rolled into the historic city on Friday.
Venice officials were in full crowd-control mode, closing off certain areas of the city to throngs of curious fans.
This will be the second marriage for Clooney, 53, and the first for human-rights attorney Alamuddin, 36. The couple announced their engagement in April.
