Michaele Salahi, of “Real Housewives of D.C.” and White House “gate-crasher” fame, just earned an early exit from “Celebrity Rehab” after host Dr. Drew Pinsky determined she wasn’t addicted to anything.
According to a production source who spoke to Radar Online, the reality star was given the boot on Tuesday.
“Dr. Drew did a thorough medical examination of her, including a full neurological check-up, and she is fine,” the insider said. “Michaele is all drama. That is her main issue.”
Wonder if the good doctor checked the “Housewife” for fame addiction? Not that the results would matter to Team Salahi, made up of Michaele’s husband Tareq. He insists the real reason his wife joined “Rehab” was so that addiction medicine specialist Dr. Drew would help Michaele cope with stresses and her struggle with multiple sclerosis.
“She was really leaning on Dr. Drew, who is a respected doctor, to get her through some of the issues after the White House, when she went to Congress, when she went into relapse with her multiple sclerosis,” Tareq said.
Now Michaele and Tareq plan to share her ruined “Rehab” story with a larger audience.
"My wife takes her health situation very seriously,” Tareq told Radar Online. “She has a real diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. You know, we can show you a bunch of emails about what they wanted her to pretend to be ... but that's going to come out later on with one of the major networks.”
