"The Real Housewives of New York City" are back for a new season of wine sipping, romance woes and, if one clip from the new season is any indication, all of the usual frequent feuding fans have come to expect. Stars Ramona Singer, Heather Thomson and Kristen Taekman stopped by TODAY on Tuesday to tease the drama to come.
After playing the promo reel, which included a scene where Singer literally throws a glass of wine at Taekman, TODAY's Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford wanted to know just what the heck to was going on between those gals.
"Well, you know me! I love my Ramona pinot," Singer said of her own brand of booze. As for the wineglass, she insisted, "It was plastic."
Besides, Singer felt certain her actions were reasonable, since Taekman splashed water in her face first.
"I wasn’t really angry," she explained. "I was just drinking my Ramona pinot grigio very nicely and ... had my hair done beautifully, and she gets me soaking wet. And it's a reflex to just throw ... the plastic glass."
Thomson joked — or was it a joke? — that "anger management (is) to follow."
