Adam Taylor / ABC /
Basketball player Metta World Peace and pro partner Peta Murgatroyd were the first couple eliminated in season 13.

Who cheers when they lose?!

LA Laker Ron Artest, aka Metta World Peace. That’s who.

The pro baller continued his silly streak on night two of “Dancing With the Stars’ ” premiere week, whoopin’ it up when his name was announced as season 13’s first eliminated contestant.

“All I want to know is who’s coming with me!” Mr. Peace said with a big smile on his face and a few fist pumps. “(Pro partner) Peta was great. Everybody give a round of applause to Peta! She’s awesome!”

But not everyone was as thrilled with the first cut. “I just mourn all of the antics that we’re going to miss from this moment on,” lamented host Tom Bergeron.

Yes, the goofiness will be missed indeed, especially considering who else was left standing under the spotlights of shame with the basketball player.

There was reality personality Rob Kardashian, whose Viennese waltz was stiff and lacked musicality. (Viewers will now get to enjoy another week of his back talk to pro partner Cheryl Burke. Hurray?) Then there was HLN host Nancy Grace, who couldn’t remember the choreography for her lackluster cha-cha-cha.

Sure, Peace’s own cha-cha-cha was a technical mess, but like head

But wacky doesn’t always fly. (Unless you’re contestant Carson Kressley, who more than deserved his standing ovation for the wonderfully goofy cha-cha-cha, which he performed once again Tuesday for the judges’ encore pick.) Clicker readers and “Dancing” fans didn’t appreciate the wild ways of Peace.

“Ron Artest looks ridiculous with that hair and he’s a walking sexual harassment case,” reader Angie Hopp wrote on our Facebook page.

“Thank goodness,” Debra Chandler wrote after “DWTS” announced Peace’s elimination. “Mr. Creeps has left the dance floor.”

The reactions – and the elimination – weren’t a huge surprise. Readers gave Peace an average score of 2.42 out of 10 on our Rate the Dancers feature. Ouch.
