Before Patrick Ferrari joined the latest batch of “Biggest Loser” contestants for this season’s “Battle of the Ages” competition, the 26-year-old felt his dream job would always be out of reach. That’s because at 387 pounds, Ferrari simply couldn’t pass a basic police agility test.

On last week’s show, Ferrari volunteered to get the boot when his team landed in last place. But don’t let that early ouster fool you. Despite only staying on "The Biggest Loser" ranch for three short weeks, Ferrari is already working hard to make his dream come true.

Ferrari, along with his fellow former “Loser” Johnny Forger, stopped by TODAY Tuesday morning to share his progress.

“I lost 32 pounds at the ranch, and I’ve lost 110 pounds total so far,” he revealed. “I got to take the physical agility test for the police department back where I live in Oregon, and I passed it. So, yeah, (I’m) on the right path.”

While both Ferrari and Forger are out of the game for now, they aren’t out of the running for the big $250,000 prize. As contestants were told at the start of the season, before the final face-off, current and eliminated players alike will run a marathon for the chance at a guaranteed spot in the finals.

“The Biggest Loser” airs Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
