The first episode of the newly revamped “Fear Factor” has yet to air, but things are already getting scary for those involved in the production.

According to TMZ, a thrilling six-story jump turned dangerous when a portion of the safety rigging failed and sent a “Fear Factor” stuntman crashing to the ground with enough force to break both of his ankles.

No contestants were injured in the accident.

"Safety is our first priority, and because of that we test these stunts repeatedly with trained stuntmen to ensure our contestants' well-being,” insiders told TMZ.

Given that this is the second reported “Fear Factor” accident this month, it seems that past fans of the show have no need to fear that the reboot will lack risky routines. In fact, it might just out-fear the old gross-out food challenges and frightening haircuts (see below) from the show’s original run.

NBC has yet to announce a premiere date for the new “Fear Factor."
