"Live. Die. Repeat." is the tagline on the poster for the futuristic action flick "Edge of Tomorrow." Stars Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt hoped to avoid the "die" part as they made a run at "live" and "repeat" by attending premieres for the film in three cities in one day.
Cruise and Blunt started the day in London on Wednesday before heading to Paris and eventually ending the triple-play in New York.
At London's BFI Imax, Cruise sipped from a coffee mug and the two stars dodged raindrops on the red carpet.
"When I heard about the premiere idea of three in one day, I just said, 'that's Tom's idea,'" Blunt told The Associated Press, which reported that Cruise, 51, and Blunt, 31, joked about who will have more stamina throughout the day.
"Because I have a baby, I'm not sleeping as much anyway," said Blunt, who is mom to new baby girl Hazel.
Cruise countered: "You'll be like, unconscious. But I'll be there."
Blunt offered her thanks and farewell to her hometown, London, before heading off to Paris as the official "Edge of Tomorrow" Twitter account tracked the moving premieres.
Cruise's travels and interactions with fans were documented on his Twitter account as he shared photos and videos throughout the day.
Blunt upped the fashion ante in Paris, switching out the pink-and-blue printed dress she wore in London for a leather number with sheer cutouts. For his part, Cruise switched from a black suit and tie to blue.
Cruise and Blunt arrived for the "final destination" — New York's AMC Lincoln Square — after 10 p.m. ET on Wednesday. The film's Twitter feed shared another video message from the actor, who thanked fans and said he hoped they enjoy the film.
Blunt stunned again with another flawless look, this time in a long red gown, with her hair pulled tightly back.
In "Edge of Tomorrow," Cruise plays a futuristic military officer who is fighting invading aliens and finds himself living the same day over and over. It opens in U.S. theaters on June 6.
