The revolving door policy that’s allowed several members of the “Jersey Shore” gang to storm out and later walk right back into the  Seaside Heights house is over.

According to TMZ, MTV has had enough of huffy walkouts on the show and is now willing to fire any cast member who breaks a newly implemented one-strike rule. Which means if someone walks for the first time, they’re also walking for the last time.

The strict approach comes after a couple of highly publicized departures. Last week, while filming season five, Vinny Guadagnino reportedly packed his bags and took off, with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino not far behind him. Both reality stars have since returned to their camera-filled home-away-from-home.

Of course, the wayward guys weren’t the first to ditch their digs. Back in season three, Sammi Giancola briefly moved out after a big fight with her off-again-on-again boyfriend Ronnie Ortiz-Magro — one of many big fights between the two.

Is this new rule a good idea? Do you think MTV should fire anyone who walks off of “Jersey Shore”? Share your thoughts on our Facebook page!
