Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have split and won't be getting married, according to new reports.

People magazine says reps for both the singer, 20, and the actor, 23, confirmed on Monday that the engagement between the two stars is off. In its own exclusive, E! Online quotes a source as saying the split was "Miley's decision."

Over the weekend, Cyrus unfollowed her former fiancé on Twitter. It was enough of a signal after a sometimes rocky four-year relationship to get news of a breakup percolating again.

People reports that the pair postponed their wedding plans earlier this year and Cyrus was photographed without her engagement ring. But the couple — and the ring — were back on later in the summer.

Cyrus graces the cover of the October issue of Harper's Bazaar. She refused to address the status of her relationship with Hemsworth at the time of her interview with the mag, but said, "I definitely don't have time to deal with a wedding right now. But I will at some point."

Cyrus also signaled to Harper's, and to any possible future suitors, where her head may be these days in the wake of her twerk-filled VMA performance and her chart-busting new video for "Wrecking Ball": "I was an adult when I was supposed to be a kid. So now I'm an adult and I'm acting like a kid."
