Even before his fame peaked, Brad Pitt could make men jealous, even boxing legend Mike Tyson.
Tyson talked to Conan O’Brien on "Conan" Tuesday about a time he encountered the actor with Tyson's ex-wife, Robin Givens.
The former heavyweight champion said he would routinely check in with Givens, hoping to rekindle their flame.
“So, even though you were divorced, you would sometimes go over to her house?” O’Brien asked Tyson.
"Yes!" the boxer quickly snapped back.
Tyson then recalled a morning when he went to Givens’ house and found no one home. Shortly after, the actress drove up with “the handsome Brad Pitt.”
Upon their arrival, Tyson was devastated, knowing his chances with Givens were now slim to none.
“I was just emotionally comatose,” remembered the former heavyweight champion. “I went from a hard stallion to a wet noodle.”
Pitt and Givens dated briefly around 1989, prior to Pitt’s rise to fame. As O’Brien pointed out though, Tyson couldn't have been the only one shocked.
“I gotta think, Brad Pitt sees you, he’s gotta be scared,” said the comedian. “Because he’s pulling up with your ex-wife at her house and you’re sitting there in a car.”
Replied Tyson, “I had no energy to fight or anything.”
Tyson appeared on “Conan” to promote his one-man stage performance, “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth – Live on Stage,” which is set to run April 13-18 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The set will include personal stories about the boxer’s life and romantic relationships.
“Finally, a story I can relate to,” joked O’Brien.
