"The Real Housewives of Miami" are back and ready for a season of ... fun? That's right, fun. On Thursday morning, Lea Black, Marysol Patton and Adriana DeMoura-Sidi visited TODAY along with the new additions to the cast to explain just what makes the new season different from the last one.
"I think a lot's different," said returning housewife Black. "I think the mix of the new girls has made it hot, spicy, wild, crazy, fun and … a few other things have gone on."
Yes, in between all the wild and crazy fun, "other things" always seem to trip up the Miami "Housewives," such as feuds and fights. No amount of new blood seems likely to change that.
"More drama than ever," Black admitted. "And it heats up as the season progresses."
That should come as no shock to the new women that joined the "Housewives" ranks -- Ana Quincoces, Lisa Hochstein, Joanna Krupa and Karent Sierra. And yet …
"I think we're never sure of what we're getting ourselves into," Quincoces said. "There's always a little bit of apprehension doing something new when you can't predict the outcome -- especially when you can't predict other people's behavior. I think the key is to try and stay above the fray and keep your dignity in the process."
Staying fray-free is nearly unheard of on any edition of the "Real Housewives," but maybe Quincoces has had some luck. After all, she said the experience has "been fun -- a little bit more fun than (she) expected."
Model and former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant Krupa agreed, also calling the experience "fun." She also admitted it also serves as another platform for her career.
See just how Krupa uses that platform when she and the other "Housewives" kick off the second season premiere Thursday night at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
