Jenny McCarthy told The Hollywood Reporter that she is regularly invited to appear on "Dancing With the Stars," but she'll never do it because the show promises A-list participants and doesn't deliver.
McCarthy specifically called out George Clooney's ex-girlfriend, model Elisabetta Canalis, who was the second person to be eliminated on the dancing show's most recent season.
"They ask me every year, and I just can't do it," she told THR. "I tell them why: You guys keep saying every year you're going to get A-List people and then it's the girl that was with George Clooney... They better talk the walk or walk the talk -- whatever that saying is."
McCarthy is far from the only one who's commented on the lack of star power on "Dancing." Some have dubbed the ABC show "Dancing With the D-List." But one of the lesser-known names last season, injured veteran and soap actor J.R. Martinez, won the mirror ball trophy, so unknown quantities aren't always a bad thing.
