Love didn't keep them together. Not even Muskrat Love. And they'd better Shop Around. "Captain" Daryl Dragon and singer Toni Tennille are getting divorced after 39 years together, People reports.

Dragon, 71, and Tennille, 73, are best known for their string of 1970s hits, including "Love Will Keep Us Together" and "Do That to Me One More Time."

They starred in their own variety show, "The Captain and Tennille Show," which ran for just one season in 1976 and 1977.

Before they achieved their own fame, Dragon briefly played keyboards for The Beach Boys, and Tennille was a backup singer on Pink Floyd's famous album "The Wall."

In 2009, Tennille wrote on her website that Dragon had a mild form of Parkinson's disease, but in 2010 she amended that to say he has a neurological condition similar to Parkinson's.

"Some days he does pretty well.... other days his playing is severely compromised," she wrote. "His condition is (exacerbated) by any kind of stress, and worrying about his ability to play has made his condition worse."

The couple have no children.
