Lindsay Lohan got upstaged during her visit to "Late Show With David Letterman" Wednesday, and it was really her own fault. While on the show to promote her OWN docuseries "Lindsay," the actress busted out her cell phone mid-interview and suggested that they give Oprah Winfrey a call.

Her host was hesitant at first, but came around and dialed up the queen of media — but not as himself. "Yes, could I speak to Oprah Winfrey, please?" Letterman asked in a higher-pitched voice. "This is Lindsay Lohan's secretary."

After Winfrey demanded, "Who is this?!" the comedian revealed his true identity, leading to a surprised laugh from the talk-show titan.

With Lohan set aside, the two entertainment moguls chatted about the actress.

"I think she's doing really OK," Winfrey admitted. "To have cameras following you around for every phase of your life, and you are trying to pull your life together, I think that's a really difficult thing. So yeah, we're really pleased she's making some progress."

A teaser from "Lindsay" showed the actress causing issues for the film crew during taping, which led Winfrey to scold, "You need to cut the (expletive)."

Judging from Winfrey's latest praise, the talking-to seems to have had some effect.

"Oprah, I've spent 30 years trying to pull my life together. Where the hell have you been?!" Letterman joked.

"Late Show" airs weeknights at 11:35 on CBS. "Lindsay" airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on OWN.
