Instead, the band kicked off a weeklong campaign, traveling across the country to surprise and fulfill seven wishes for seven fans in seven days. And on Tuesday, they landed on the TODAY plaza to drop off some songs, plus one of those very special surprises.

Following a performance of one of the most uplifting country breakup songs ever, "Bartender," the trio of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood invited a very surprised young woman, Katharine Laventis, to the stage, and presented her with a special scholarship that will pay for a full year of her nursing school.

The week of surprises kicked off on in Miami on Monday, where Lady Antebellum surprised music teacher (and #1 fan) Vivian Gonzalez with a very special classroom visit:
