He's shown us it's possible to "Escape from New York," and faced "Big Trouble in Little China." He's fought off "The Thing," beat the Russkies as U.S. Olympic hockey coach Herb Brooks in "Miracle," and as a child actor, harassed Elvis in "It Happened at the World's Fair."

But now Kurt Russell is revving his engines to join Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in "Fast & Furious 7," which hits theaters in 2014.

Diesel shared a Facebook photo of himself with Russell and co-star Walker on the "F&F 7" set, and more than 330,000 fans punched the "Like" button in response.

"Kurt Russell, such an honor to work with," Diesel wrote.

Russell, 62, is rumored to play a villain in the blockbuster car-racing franchise, though specifics on his role have not been confirmed.

The "Fast & Furious" films have played a little fast and furious with their timeline. Although this is the seventh film, it will fall in chronological order just after the third film made, 2006's "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift."
