Katy Perry provided the voice of Smurfette for the big-screen movie "The Smurfs" in 2011, and some feel she's reliving that experience on the Grammys red carpet.

Perry not only wore a blue Elie Saab gown, but her hair was dyed blue and piled high on her head, inviting some comparisons to cartoon character Marge Simpson.

Some Grammy watchers on Twitter didn't care for the look. Jordan Bouvier tweeted, "Katy Perry is wearing the blue-tinted Kleenex?"

But actress Kirstie Alley loved the look, tweeting "Katy Perry ... you look KILLER ... bada** in blue hair."

Canadian department-store chain Holt Renfrew appreciated Perry's rule breaking, tweeting that Perry was a "style original" who looked like an "ethereal blue Candyland fairy."
