During Thursday night’s “Chelsea Lately,” comedian Kathy Griffin discussed the Bristol Palin jokes that recently earned her so much attention. She did not, however, apologize for them.

“I made several scandalous jokes, as I like to do, and I stand by all of them,” the "My Life On the D-List" star told host Chelsea Handler.

The scandalous humor in question, which included a reference to Palin as “white ‘Precious’” during VH1’s “Divas Salute the Troops” special, had already elicited a response from the 20-year-old “Dancing With the Stars” alum.

“The audience reaction to the ‘comedian’ spoke volumes, and the decent people I know would probably have booed her, too,” Palin shot back.

Handler’s response to Griffin’s weight-related Palin jab was much different.

“That’s hilarious,” the late night host said.

Griffin continued to defend her act, pointing out that her “haters,” including “The View’s” Elisabeth Hasselbeck, haven’t gone overseas to entertain the troops and say anything, scandalous or not.

“I’ve performed in Iraq and Afghanistan and walked to the latrine on gravel with a flash light and stood up in the cafeteria and told jokes,” Griffin explained. “And I just think it’s ironic that (haters) would call me a bully.”
