Forget gym, tan and laundry. "Jersey Shore" star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro could soon have much bigger things to worry about.

According to an exclusive Life & Style report, the reality star is about to be slapped with a defamation suit by Stephen Izzo, whom Ortiz-Magro allegedly knocked unconscious on camera during season one of the popular MTV series. Ortiz-Magro has already been charged with one count of third-degree assault in the case, and could face up to five years in jail if convicted.

Izzo's attorney, Eugene M. La Vergne, told the magazine that the defamation suit is based on comments the "Jersey Shore" star and his manager, Matt Cohen, gave to celeb gossip site TMZ. The two allegedly claimed that Izzo picked a fight with Ortiz-Magro just to get on TV. "Ronnie and his manager are just making stuff up.  We intend on serving them imminently," La Vergne told Life & Style.

When reached for comment, Cohen told the magazine, "As far as I know, neither my client nor I have been served with any legal documents regarding any civil suits."
