Yeah, we're looking at him! It's Robert De Niro's big day after all. On Saturday, the two-time Oscar winner turns 70, and there's no better occasion to look back at some of his best work.

De Niro's performances — from his complete transformation as Jake La Motta in "Raging Bull" to his nail-biting Travis Bickle in "Taxi Driver" to his making-of-a-man take on a young Vito Corleone in "The Godfather: Part II" — have long captivated audiences. It only takes a look back at some of his most memorable movie moments to see why.

But even with those incredible roles (and many others, including his humorous turn in "Meet the Parents" and the sequel "Meet the Fockers"), it wasn't until February of this year that the New York native finally cemented his place in Hollywood — literally. The actor left his hand and footprints on the famous stretch leading to the legendary TCL (formerly Grauman's) Chinese Theatre alongside other Hollywood royalty.

Since getting his start on the big screen in the 1960s, De Niro's been nominated for numerous Academy Awards and Golden Globes, winning one of each for his lead performance in "Raging Bull," as well as a supporting actor Oscar for "The Godfather: Part II." De Niro also walked away with the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award at the Globes in 2011.

Of course, it's not as though De Niro's body of work is all behind him. The actor remains busy with several films currently in production and three — "The Family," "Last Vegas" and "Grudge Match" — set to hit theaters before the year is out.

We look forward to seeing what else the acting icon has in store.
