John Stamos, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier, otherwise known to "Full House" fans as Uncle Jesse, Danny Tanner and not-quite-Uncle Joey, have really been making the rounds ahead of their big Super Bowl ad reunion. But there's good news for those who'd like to see even more of them (and maybe the rest of the "Full House" family too) — a real reunion could be on the way.
During a visit to Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live," the guys fielded a viewer question about a sequel to the sitcom.
"We're doing them door-to-door, so we can just come to your home," Saget joked.
But Stamos offered a serious response.
"The legacy is so important to us," he said. "Every year, it just gets deeper and more important to everybody. We just have to do it right. We're sort of working on a twist on a sequel, but we don't know if it's going to happen yet or not."
That's all that Stamos had to say about how "Full House" might figure into his future again, but he also had something to say about how the show — or rather, one co-star in particular — almost figured into his past.
It seems the on-screen chemistry between Uncle Jesse and his bride, Becky, spilled over off-screen for Stamos and Lori Loughlin, but they never acted on it. Now, he considers Loughlin "the one that got away."
"We have great chemistry; we just had bad timing," he explained. "You know, she was married, got divorced. ... There was about a week period that it could have happened, and then I met my ex (Rebecca Romijn), and I went that way. But (Lori's) just the model of a perfect person and a beautiful person, and we're still great friends. ... We don't have sex, but we're great friends."
"Sort of like us," Saget said, gesturing to himself and Coulier.
"Yeah," Stamos had to agree.
