Forget 'First Kiss'! Fallon gathers puppies and kittens for 'First Lick'

Can't get enough of "First Kiss," the black-and-white viral video that sees 20 strangers lock lips to varying degrees of awkwardness and sexiness? Well, "The Tonight Show's" Jimmy Fallon has just the fix for you.

In "First Lick," Fallon pairs puppies, kittens and some full-grown furry friends for a dose of pure adorableness.

"We asked 20 puppies and kittens to kiss for the first time," the screen reads before the dogs dish up kisses and kittens cuddle.

As for capturing the awkward part of the original, in this version, one pup seems far more interested is giving his tail the once-over, rather than his partner. And one May-December matchup sees a young pooch deliver the smooch to its pal's rear end.

See the full animal action in the "Tonight" clip, and if you haven't seen it (dozens of times already), be sure to check out human version of the video that started it all.

"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
