The guys of "Entourage" are finally going to be back -- on the big screen!

It didn't take long for the guys of "Entourage" to hug it out on Twitter after news spread that the hit HBO show was officially getting the movie treatment.

Stars Adrian Grenier (Vincent Chase), Jerry Ferrara (Turtle) and Jeremy Piven (Ari Gold) were quick to share their excitement about reuniting to continue the tale of a young actor who finds Hollywood fame, and brings his trusty group of pals along for the ride.

The news was first confirmed late on Monday, when show creator Doug Ellin and Ferrara both shared the news on Twitter.

According to Deadline, the project is scheduled to start filming in January. The film first got the green light early this year, but suffered some delays.

On Oct. 21, star Kevin Connolly, who played Vince's best bud Eric Murphy, told TMZ that the delay was "a complicated thing," but that "everything is fine" and "everybody's in line." Meanwhile, Mark Wahlberg, whose life inspired the show, told the gossip site earlier in the month that the movie would come out "as soon as the guys stop being so greedy," alluding to salary issues

But Grenier denied it on his Instagram account, promising fans that it wasn't about the money.

Ferrara also chimed in on the matter.

Though the movie version of the hit show is still a long ways off from hitting the big screen, Ellin promised to keep fans updated on via his social media accounts.

There hasn't been much detail on what the plot will be, but Ellin told Deadline that the script picks up roughly six months after the series finale.

"There are interesting developments about Ari as a studio head ... but foremost is the friendship between the guys who are still hanging out and going to fun parties, and it continues with the same characters," he told the website.

The series ended after eight seasons in 2011 with Vince and the gang flying to Paris for the actor's wedding, and Ari becoming a studio boss.
