Kids reenact Emmy-nominated shows, deliver award-worthy performances

Many of the TV shows nominated for Emmys this year aren't exactly kid-friendly fare, but that didn't stop the folks at Mom.me from getting several talented tykes to reenact scenes from those grown-up dramas, including "True Detective," "Game of Thrones," "House of Cards" and more.

You won't want to miss:

  • A bunch "Game of Thrones" bad boys arguing over who is the one true ruler of Westeros, before being upstaged by a tiny Daenerys who sets them all on fire with her stuffed dragon.
  • A mustachioed kid channeling "True Detective's" Matthew McConaughey, who asks a police detective, "Can you believe I was in 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days'?" — and follows it up with a perfect round of "all right, all right, all right."
  • A familiar "Downton Abbey" tableau, in which Anna and Lady Mary swap grievances; Anna worries her husband is in jail and they have no money, while Mary whines that she doesn't know "which wealthy man to marry." "Really?" asks Anna, with delightful sarcasm.

See how the real stars follow up an act like that when the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards airs on Aug. 25 at 8 p.m on NBC.
