Dry your tears! 'X Factor' castoff says Nicole's 'not that bad'

Thursday night's controversial "X Factor" results prompted some fans to speak out against teary-eyed, indecisive judge Nicole Scherzinger for the her refusal to take a stand on the show -- an action, or rather inaction, that resulted in a deadlock and an unexpected ouster. But castoff Rachel Crow is far more supportive of the panelist.

Despite collapsing to the stage and crying after learning her fate, Crow defended Scherzinger when she spoke to reporters after the show, and she warned angry viewers not to engage in another round death threats, like those that circulated after last week's boot.

“I want to say to all those people, ‘Stop, please,’" Crow said in quote published to Entertainment Weekly. "She’s the nicest, most beautiful person inside and out. I saw her, and she was crying still. She was so sad. All of those people last week that were saying, ‘Go die,’ -- that’s really mean. That’s a mean thing to say. She’s not that bad. She’s really actually nice. I don’t understand why people are taking it out on her. It’s nobody’s fault -- it’s not even America’s fault. It’s no one person’s fault. It’s just what God had in store for me. It will be OK.”

As for Scherzinger, who could barely get through the show without dabbing her eyes, TMZ reports that the judge  was "inconsolable" after she dashed backstage at the close of the show. In fact, she was said to be so sad that Crow reached out to her, at which point they both cried some more.

So, after all of those tears, would Scherzinger do anything differently? Well, she's still not able to make up her mind.

"I don't know," Scherzinger told E! News. "Everything happens for a reason. Rachel, it was a surprise to me that she was in the bottom two and now that she's being sent home. But no, I had to leave it up to America."
