Doritos recently offered the public a chance to create Super Bowl-worthy ads for the brand, and with game day less than two weeks away, the winning efforts will soon be seen by millions.

While the ads submitted to the Crash the Super Bowl contest varied, at least two entrants shared a similar theme of mistaken attraction.

First up, there’s “Told You So,” wherein a married man peeks over the fence for look at his gay neighbors’ goods — well, their snack food goods.

Next there’s “The Sauna,” featuring one man’s fascination with what his sauna-mate is packing — as in Doritos, of course.

Whether the spots would strike the right balance for light Super Bowl laughs or be regarded as possible homophobic offerings during the big game due to their straight-man-mistaken-for-gay-man punchlines, as one memorable Snickers ad once was, will never be known as neither ad made the contest cut.

As for the ads that might actually make an appearance on Feb. 6, here are the five finalists:

 “House Sitting”

“Adam & Eve”

 "Pug Attack"

“Birthday Wish”

“Best Part”
