Ballroom dancing is poised to be the next big weight loss trend thanks to Kirstie Alley’s “Dancing With the Stars” transformation.

Alley lost 60 pounds on her own before ever hitting the dance floor, but in the one month since she started moving alongside pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, she’s toned up and slimmed down even more.

“I started out in a size 12, then an 8 and then I think next week I'll be in a 6," Alley told Us Weekly of her rapid reduction. "The real size I want to be in is probably a 4 or a 6. That's where I look best."

Alley isn’t the first star to experience the benefits of the ballroom. Season nine hoofer Kelly Osbourne credits her “Dancing” days with turning her life around.

"(Pro Louis van Amstel) changed my life, as well as the show did,” Osbourne told OnTheRedCarpet.com last year. “He got me eating right. He got me working out. He's a huge part of the reason that I changed.”
