If yesterday’s news about Dina Lohan’s possible participation in the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars” has taught us anything, it’s that our readers have some strong opinions about who should and shouldn’t be ballroom-bound.
As for Lohan, well, she fell firmly in the “oh, heck no!” category.
The question now is, if Lindsay's momager isn’t worthy of a shot at the mirror ball trophy, who is?
Perennial rumored picks include LeAnn Rimes, Joan Rivers and Captain Sig Hansen of “Deadliest Catch” fame. Earlier this year, Rev. Al Sharpton revealed that he’d been asked to join the show three separate times. And even Madonna’s one-time boy toy, Carlos Leon, claims he turned down a “Dancing” opportunity in the past, but would gladly accept if asked again.
If I had the chance to assemble my very own “Dancing” dream cast, and if I restricted myself to choices who might actually be available (i.e. no A-list movie stars), then my top picks would include “Project Runway” mentor Tim Gunn, the sure-footed Paul Reubens (aka Pee-Wee Herman), Capt. Sig, Martha Stewart and just about any available talent from the “Star Trek” franchise. And if the show needed a few drama-packed selections, maybe Donald Trump, Danielle Staub, Naomi Campbell or even a much more famous Lohan could be added to the mix.
