Even though Cooke Monster loves sweet treats, he will do his best to keep his furry blue paws out of the cookie jar in an effort to teach children about self-restraint in the new season of "Sesame Street." To prove he's serious about keeping his cookie count in check, he recently starred in a new music video entitled "Me Want It (But Me Wait)," set to the tune of Icona Pop's hit, "I Love It."

"Me get this feeling when me see a cookie on the plate. Me want to grab it, want to eat it, oh me no can wait," Cookie sings in the video, which also features numerous other dancing Muppets. "But now me know that self-control is something me must learn."

The video will be used as part of a new "Sesame Street" segment called "Cookie's Crumby Pictures," which, according to a Sesame Workshop press release, will teach children strategies and activities that promote the show's self-regulation curriculum.

In addition to the Icona Pop-tuned video, Cookie will star in seven movie spoofs — all with fun titles such as "The Spy Who Loved Cookies" and "The Hungry Games" — in which children (and "Sesame"-loving adults) will get to watch the blue Muppet battle his desire for sweet treats.

The 44th season of "Sesame Street" will feature an impressive lineup of celebrity guests including Charlize Theron, Usher and Forest Whitaker. It premieres Sept. 16 on PBS Kids.
