After filing for a legal separation last month and then withdrawing that petition two days later, Dina Eastwood is moving forward with ending her 17-year marriage to Oscar winner Clint Eastwood.
The 48-year-old former television journalist filed for divorce Tuesday in Monterey Superior Court citing "irreconcilable differences." She asked for physical custody of the couple's 16-year-old daughter, Morgan, and joint legal custody. Dina Eastwood is also asking for spousal support.
The petition also states that she and the 83-year-old actor-director have a prenuptial agreement but that property rights are "to be determined." The couple has lived in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, since 2008, according to the documents. Eastwood was mayor of Carmel from 1986 to 1988.
Morgan and her mother appeared with Morgan's half-sister Francesca Eastwood in "Mrs. Eastwood & Company," a reality series that followed the family's daily adventures.
Clint Eastwood, whose last film as a director was 2011's "J. Edgar," is currently shooting "Jersey Boys," an adaptation of the hit Broadway musical in which John Lloyd Young reprises his Tony-winning role as Frankie Valli.
Us Weekly first broke the news of the couple's separation in late August. On the same day Dina dismissed her separation filing, Clint Eastwood was photographed in Los Angeles with his girlfriend, Erica Fisher.
