Reese Witherspoon is an Oscar-winning actress who says she's learned from "many, many people throughout the years" -- but that doesn't mean her education is over.
Particularly when Chelsea Handler is on the set. The two actresses star in "This Means War" opposite Chris Pine and Tom Hardy, when both men -- CIA agents and best friends -- set their sights on winning Witherspoon, whose best friend (Handler) is there to lend, well, a hand.
But Witherspoon, who joined TODAY's Ann Curry on Monday, says working with the comedian/talk-show host was a real learning experience.
"Chelsea and I laughed all the time," she says, noting that Handler majorly ad-libbed her lines. "(We're) this unlikely match, but we really got along. She makes up everything off the top of her head. She says it herself, she's like, 'I don't need the script.' We'd just tell her what the scene was and she would just make up stuff around it. And everybody -- every man, every woman in the whole room was just dying laughing."
A lot of it ended up on the cutting room floor, but as Witherspoon promises, the good stuff is not gone for good: "It's going to be an insane DVD," she laughed.
