Better call Saul! "Breaking Bad's" sleazy lawyer, played by Bob Odenkirk, won't be going to "Belize" with the show once the hit AMC drama ends its final season this month.

The network and Sony Pictures Television announced Wednesday that they have reached a licensing agreement for a spin-off that is tentatively titled "Better Call Saul," the lawyer's catchy tagline. According to the release, the new show will be a one-hour prequel following the evolution of Saul Goodman before he met meth kingpin Walter White (Bryan Cranston).

Back in May, "Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan said that he and writer/producer Peter Gould, who created the character of Saul, were trying to piece together what a show centered around the lawyer would be like.

As Gilligan said in an interview with Yahoo TV, "Saul Goodman, as he explains in his first episode, is not his real name. He is a self-created character, much like Heisenberg. ... But there are a lot of fun possibilities."

There are no further details available yet about the spin-off and who exactly will be involved. AMC has also not yet officially ordered the potential new series.

"Breaking Bad" airs on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on AMC.
