Given his druthers, country superstar and "The Voice" coach Blake Shelton would have a simple, tidy organizing system for album nomenclature.

"I hate naming albums," he told TODAY anchor Tamron Hall during a visit Wednesday. "I'd like it to be 'Blake Shelton No. 2,' 'Blake Shelton No. 3,' 'Part 4' [and] all that."

Fortunately, he hasn't gone that route with "Bringing Back the Sunshine," his ninth studio album release featuring the song "Neon Light," which he performed on the show. "Sunshine," which is also the name of a new track, refers to Shelton's attempt at "bringing back the more traditional sound, as much as you can in country music these days."
