Two-time “Bachelor” star Brad Womack has an explanation for his recently revealed rap sheet.

On Wednesday, E! News reported that the eligible bar owner was arrested in Texas for forging a driver’s license in 1993. In addition to that, Star magazine detailed an alleged public intoxication arrest for Womack and a conviction for passing a bad check.

But Womack's potential brides-to-be have no need to worry. According to him, his youthful "missteps" were just part of growing up.

“I’m sure I wouldn’t be the first to admit that I had a couple of missteps when I was a teenager — some 20-odd years ago,” the now-38-year-old Womack explained in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “Some of the claims have been blown out of proportion, but I took responsibility for my actions and took immediate measures to remedy the situation. It was just part of my growing pains back when I was still young and naïve — you learn from your experiences good and bad — and you move on. It ultimately builds character.”
