Frequent sexting and the circulation of risqué photos might be considered unacceptable behavior on Capitol Hill, but in Hollywood, it’s not really a problem.

That’s a lesson former New York Rep. Anthony Weiner learned on Thursday. Shortly before announcing his resignation from office, Weiner received an offer straight from Tinseltown.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, “Entourage” creator Doug Ellin reached out to the ex-congressman in an effort to convince him to make a cameo in the upcoming season of HBO series. Despite Weiner’s current lack of employment, he hasn't jumped at the offer.

When asked what answer he received from Weiner, Ellin simply said, “Nothing.”

This isn’t Ellin’s first attempt to secure a headline-grabbing name for the show. In May, he invited a rant-prone Charlie Sheen to the set for a cameo, but never heard back from the star.

The eighth and final season of “Entourage” premieres July 24.
