Just two months after actress Anne Hathaway revealed her dream to star on “Glee,” show creator Ryan Murphy has announced that Hathaway’s dream will soon come true.

“She created her own character, and we ran into her, so we said 'Really?' and she said 'Yes!' so we're going to do that," Murphy told E! News backstage at Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards. "We love her.”

During an interview on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" in November, Hathaway described the details of her would-be “Glee” gig.

“In my head I’ve written a part for myself on ‘Glee,’ ” the "Love and Other Drugs" star explained. “That’s so arrogant and obnoxious. ... In my head I’ve cast myself in ‘Glee’ and I know what song I would sing. I would want to play Kurt’s long-lost aunt — his mother’s sister, who is also gay — who comes back to help him deal with his sexuality. And I would sing ‘You Are Not Alone’ from Stephen Sondheim’s epic show ‘Into the Woods.’ ”
