It’s official. “American Idol” judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez will pull double duty this season. In addition to their roles on the panel, both performers plan to take the “Idol” stage and show the contestants just how the real stars do it.
According to executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, it’s just a matter of time before Lopez sings for the crowd and Tyler is joined by the rest of his band for a primetime Aerosmith number — and not much time, either. When xfinityTV.com asked Lythgoe if such performances might happen on finale night, he revealed some unexpected news.
“It will probably be before that, actually,” Lythgoe responded.
