When you get the munchies as much as Snoop Dogg (or Snoop Lion?) presumably does, a steaming Hot Pocket is just the thing. So the marriage of the rapper's 2004 No. 1 hit "Drop it Like It's Hot" with an extended video ad for the Hot Pockets themselves just seemed inevitable.
And here it is. Snoop gets hot and heavy with the microwave and a dancing, blinged-out hot pocket (aka Herbie Hot Pockets) in the video for "Pocket Like It's Hot," sharing the camera with YouTube star/comedian DeStorm Power and -- random MTV celebrity alert -- Andy Milonakis as they express their deep love for the snack item.
Some of the food for thought shared in the rap:
I'm a hot dude, with some hot dreams
Getting fired up, letting off steam
Everybody showing love -- Herbie's in da tub
Checkin' applications for the Hot Pockets fan club
Pepperoni pizza, much better than some fish eggs
The interior too hot let it cool off for a few secs
I'm running for the taste, that can be my phys ed
Chompin' Hot Pockets, that's how you get ahizzead
So how does it all end? With Snoop's Hot Pocket (dressed up in a little faux-fur wrapper) set for its destiny. Dogg opens up the microwave and sighs, "Oh, yeah, so ready. Now it's time to undress you."
In just five days since it was posted on YouTube, the video has already racked up nearly 2 million views. Now, that's hot.
