  Nascar has released the 2008 Budweiser Shootout entry list. Any pole winner from the previous season is eligible for the Budweiser Shootout. If qualifying is rained out and the drivers start by car owner points then the pole sitter does not automatically get the Budweiser Shootout spot. A driver has to win the pole on the race track. Typically the new schedule will come out during the CUP race for that week. That is when you can start finding here.   I am having some trouble deciphering what Ryan Newman’s test speeds at California mean. On Thursday morning Newman was the 6th fastest in practice - with a number of 12b.   Ryan Newman posted the fastest practice time in the 4th practice for the the Daytona 500. According to Fox Sports Newman ran 40 laps for that practice session. Only 4 other drivers ran the same or higher with teammate Kurt Busch running the most laps at 47 and having the 27th fastest time. That fast lap came on lap 5 of the 40 laps. RYAN
