  Considering I (and every other Cubs fan) have been waiting for this all year, I feel it deserves it's own post. Alfonso Soriano FINALLY HIT A HOME RUN!!! Soriano hit his first blast of the season just a few moments ago off of Tony Armas. I hope this is the start of a 6 or 7 game streak where Soriano goes yard.

• Mets sign Tony Armas Jr. to a minor league deal

  Another former Minaya player joins the Mets, Tony Armas Jr. signed a minor league deal and is of course invited to spring training to make the big club. He will be competiting for the 5th spot along with Mike Pelfrey and Jason Vargas. Other options include long relief.
