… you’re looking at planet Earth. Bop bop bop bop bop bop bop bop… Welcome what I can only assume are aliens looking for planet Earth. I’ve been getting pounded (well, for me, anyway) by people searching the internet for “Earth” (or “earth” or “EARTH”). Not sure why. I’d take you

I used to post on weekends. I remember reading that it was one way to increase blog traffic, since most of us slackers take the weekends off (or, like Clare’s dad, take a whole week off). And, I always intend to, but, well, time always seems to slip away. Just like I always intend to post lots of tips about how to be a Green Parent. Yet, I

I remember reading about Greg’s love affair with Moo Business Cards and then Moo Note Cards over at daddytypes. They were pretty cool, taking your Flickr images (I think they work with other sources, as well), and creating some nice looking cards from them. Did I really have a use for them? Meh. Not really. But they were cool looking! Well,

Every once in a while, my daughter Cinderella our resident princess imparts some pearls of wisdom on us. Today’s pearl came at bath time: Daughter: I have to take a bath or else I can’t go to the ball. Me: Why’s that? Daughter: ‘Cause otherwise the prince might smell me. Thanks to Disney, no one wants a stinky

As I’ve mentioned before, my daughter likes to draw in the bathtub. I think she mostly likes me to draw in the bathtub, but she’ll also draw a little herself. Well, her old bath crayon was getting a little, how shall we say, gross. So, we made a note to get her some new ones. When we finally remembered while at the store, we saw these

Hey, all - not only have things been busy, but I haven’t been feeling the creative juices flowing lately. I’ve got a couple ideas for some posts, but I’ve been finding them hard to write the way I want to. Maybe a weekend will help… Anyhow, here’s some random thoughts going through my head right now: Why is it that

Hey, all - another quick post. I just discovered the OrganicToBe website here at Wordpress. What drew my attention is that they have two contributors who focus on organic foods for kids and babies. Lisa Barnes has a series of posts with a lot of intriguing recipes. Barbara Storper answers questions and provides some useful information for

I am not an overprotective parent… Okay, who am I kidding - we hover and worry over our daughter all the time. I think that is part of the reason for having another — we believe it will help us get over being helicopter parents. Well, one thing I am pretty sure I would not have let my daughter do is go pick coal on the railroad

meantime, here’s some quickies, including some updates on product decision… After seeing, and talking to an owner of, the Phil & Ted’s E3 Sport front-to-back stroller, we’ve decided to go with it as our double stroller. It is very adaptable, and the second seat can be removed when not in use. We’ll see how the

Today at Big Girl School, my daughter’s class was walking to the park. As they reached the top of a hill, they saw the lights of fire trucks, and realized there was a house on fire along their route to the park. As they stood there and watched, my daughter said, “the roof, the roof, the roof is on fire!”

We’re getting closer to the boy’s arrival. Assuming he doesn’t come this weekend, I hope to get an update on the Maxi-Cosi Mico and a final Big Girl Room update out before Monday. In the meantime, here are a few random thoughts… I’ve read AJ’s comments over at DaddyTypes for, like, years now. But I had only

Sorry, all, but things have been crazy, what with trying to get up to speed at work, being tired, having company… That, and dealing with a whole bunch of ill people at home (including myself, but thankfully, not the baby). The good news is that, thanks to a work off-site I missed last week while I was home, I now have a bobble-head version

I’d like to say I had a great answer, but alas, I had just a plain ol’ answer (basically, “No”). NEW BABY UPDATE: Ms. Kaz has been getting no sleep lately. Last night, I suggested |
