  that's what some US schools are doing: asking ninth graders to pick their college major before they've even reached high school. I have no idea of the rationale for this, and I imagine the results would be kind of disastrous. Don't the opinions of teenagers change every three minutes? I wasn't sure I wanted to be an English Major even
