most recognizable names are Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano? This is not what we've come to expect from good ol' Paul T. Anderson! And I suppose that's what makes the director's There Will Be Blood such a stunning surprise. It's more than a "departure" for the director; it's a monumental display of "evolution" that'll wow the established fans and

the best films of the year. Daniel Day-Lewis is obviously a major component of it, but Anderson’s poetic treatment of the material cannot be dismissed. Plus, in a pleasant turn of events, co-star Paul Dano delivers a delicious and demented performance that could earn some serious award consideration a few months from now. God Bless P.T.

Rating. The movie is follows Daniel Day-Lewis as a driven and misanthropic oilman. Many people are comparing the story to Citizen Kane, and others are comparing it’s style to Kubrick, and while I see how the comparisons could fit, There Will Be Blood is like no other film you have ever seen. It’s a hard sell, especially with the two

Paul Thomas Anderson and Daniel Day-Lewis afterward. Day-Lewis is looking like a cinch for an Oscar nom for Best Actor, and I'd be pretty surprised not to see the film get a Best Picture nod as well. What I'm really more interested in is whether Paul Dano gets a nod for his dual role as twins Eli and Paul Sunday. Dano was one of the best

| Ho-ho-ho. In the movie, Daniel Day-Lewis plays a tortured oil tycoon who abandons his son.
