Both kids are devoid of the cutesy mannerisms child actors usually bring to the table, and they give fine, natural performances here. My guess is that offers went out to everyone who has ever played a Griswold, and Barron was the only one who agreed. She is the only Griswold kid ever to reprise his or her role.
